On the Eleventh Day of Christmas

Santa isn't the only one coming to town soon!   Be sure to keep checking our Available Dogs page for this little lady's debut.  Anna is cute as the dickens and a Border Collie through and through.  She will be available come January.

On the Tenth Day of Christmas

Be sure to check out Reese on our Available Dogs page!  Reese is hoping to find a forever home that has some knowledge of how to play fetch, likes to go for walks and will let him tag along for car rides.  Oh, and will love him forever, of course!

On the Ninth Day of Christmas

Meet Zeus!  He's a one and a half year old BC full of puppy energy!  Check out his full bio on our Available Dogs page.  He's spent his time in foster care learning what it means to be a dog, how to play and discovering his love of potato chips!  After all, they do say Border Collies are like potato chips - you can't just have one!

On the Eighth Day of Christmas

Handsome Cody is still looking for his forever home!  You can find out more about him on our Available Dogs page, but we can sum him up in one word for you- AWESOME!  He's a typical BC who just loves to be with his people.  He's really quite the perfect gentleman, and we can't for the life of us figure out why he hasn't been adopted yet!

On the Seventh Day of Christmas

Shep is a very special NEBCR foster dog.  After being found tied to a telephone pole and brought to a local shelter, he was lucky enough to find his way to a wonderful NEBCR foster home.  However, Shep's luck was short lived.  He has been diagnosed with a number of severe medical conditions and given upwards of a year to live.  For this reason, you won't ever be seeing Shep appear on our Available Dogs page.  NEBCR felt that with all Shep had been through, it was best for him to live out the remainder of his life in the loving home he already has - his foster home.

Although hospice cases like Shep's are rare, NEBCR relies on donations in order to be able to meet the medical needs of these special dogs.  We are proud of the fact that we do not turn away a dog in need because of a medical condition or age.  If you'd like to find out how you can help dogs like Shep, check our our How To Help page.

On the Sixth Day of Christmas

Be sure to check out Nicholas on our Available Dogs page.  Nicholas has a few health issues, but they are all under control and certainly nothing that will stop him from living a full and loving life.  He's been patiently waiting for a forever family that wants to take him for walks in the woods, let him chase chipmunks and just hang out and love him.
