Winter is Coming!
Cold weather has arrived and ever-so-sensible Ms. Dice has been finding things to keep her busy indoors lately.
Like checking out her bio to in hopes of discovering why she hasn't been adopted yet.
Catching up on her reading.
Getting in touch with her inner diva with some dress-up.
And spending some quality time on the couch catching up on all her favorite Animal Planet TV shows.
She's also been trying out some new clothes from her winter wardrobe.
Cause this girl would really like a home that will let her keep doing this:
..... all year long!
Are you that home?

Happy HOWL-oween from Dice!
Dice has been very busy since coming into rescue. Her foster mom quickly realized that she had a lot of potential to be an agility super star, and got right to work teaching her all there is to know about it.
This past weekend Dice even went to her very first AC-Me Agility Fun Run, and did awesome, despite the spooky Halloween themed course!
So awesome, in fact, that she put together her very own "How to Play Agility" video to share with all those other first-timers.
We hope you enjoyed watching Dice's movie as much as she obviously enjoyed it. Don't forget to spread the word about this smart girl to anyone looking for their next agility star!

Dice!
Dice has recently been added to the website for adoption but wants
everyone to know what she has been up to while waiting for her forever
home.
Waiting for a forever home can be exhausting.
Getting a little exercise doing agility.
Doing some sightseeing.
Checking that dog out in the window. It peeks in almost every
night.
Making new friends.
Shopping.....how you like my new bling?
Making silly faces to amuse my foster Mom.
Wrestling with my new best friend.
Learning a few new tricks.
Searching for that special toy!
And tugging; I LOVE to tug!

Sherlock the dock diver?
As many of you probably already know, its been rather hot lately.
Sherlock's foster mom brought him to a local dock to see if he was up for some dock diving to help cool off.
He wasn't too keen about it.
Sherlock simply didn't see the point. So his foster mom decided to take him to help man the NEBCR booth at a local Dock Dogs competition, and show him how much fun dogs can have fetching and jumping in the water.
He still wasn't too keen about the idea.
Then his foster brother, NEBCR Alum Denali showed him how you could win medals.
And Sherlock decided he was up for jumping in a pool after all.
The kiddy pool, that is.
Check out the video below to see some of the fun Sherlock had at the Dock Dogs event, and be sure to spread the word about this fun guy.
He's still looking for that special someone to play fetch with him....

After being told he needed to find a new family, Sherlock got right to work getting out and about looking for them.
However, as you can see he got a bit distracted at the pet store and decided he needed to go on a shopping spree instead:
He's back on the hunt for his forever family now, but could use your help. Be sure to check him out on the NEBCR Available Dogs page and spread the word about this handsome boy!

Harp, a rescue success story
You may have noticed Harp is marked officially adopted on the NEBCR available dogs website!
After 3+ years of living as a feral dog with no positive human contact in an outdoor pen with several other dogs, a couple of terrifying days when he and hundreds of others were seized from the property by the ASPCA,
living in 2 foster homes, being in the care of NEBCR for almost 2 years, 4 long months of heartworm treatment and leash walks only, at least a million inquiries from people interested in adopting him, a handful of times playing with sheepies, and countless days and nights of just figuring out how to be a dog and continually learning how to trust the people that love him just a little bit more...
Harp has his forever home with an amazing family who will give him the best possible life.
Thank you all for your support and for your love of Harp while he was in rescue. He is the success story that we all dream about. He is going to have a great life and I, and I'm sure all of you as well, can't wait to hear about him and his adventures in the years to come.
You won the jackpot...so jump for joy, sweet Harp...jump for joy.

Harp with his new mom Patricia and canine sister Echo.
He has four humans to love him endlessly, and also a beautiful and awesome
role-model canine sister that he already adores and follows around.
Harp playing ball with Echo and his new dad Sergio.
Here is what his new family had to say about him after being with them for only one week:
"In the beginning of the week, he seemed confused as to who to follow. He
would start to follow one of us and then go to another. By the end of
the week is looking for the next person who will give him attention or
go outside to play. Also, he was very reluctant to play or run at the
beginning but by Wednesday he started to bounce around Echo and chase
her as she played with the balls/frisbees. By this Sun. he was chasing
Echo and catching the frisbee himself; in the air with a turn. He is
really an amazing dog."
Thank you all for your support and for your love of Harp while he was in rescue. He is the success story that we all dream about. He is going to have a great life and I, and I'm sure all of you as well, can't wait to hear about him and his adventures in the years to come.
